VIETNAM IPO SUSPENDS THE RECEIVING AND RETURNING RESULT REGARDING INDUSTRIAL PROPERTY APPLICATION AT THE HEAD OFFICE FROM MAY 27, 2021

The IPO Vietnam issued Notification No. 4670/SHTT-VP on May 25, 2021, on consulting activities and receiving applications for industrial property registration at the head office of the IPO Vietnam.

Under the complicated situation of the Covid-19 pandemic recently, the Vietnam IPO announces:

1. From May 27, 2021, the NOIP suspends receiving and returning result regarding industrial property application directly at the head office of THE NOIP (No. 386 Nguyen Trai Street, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi). All documents and applications submitted to the headquarters shall only be received via the online system or by post.

a) For online application: The applicant shall apply through the Online Public Service Portal, then send the filing receipt together with the bank payment order. 

Applicants can search application information that has been filed through their online account. Filed application and payment receipt shall be sent to the Applicant via the registered email address.

b) For applications submitted by post: The applicant delivers the application, documents, and payment proof to the head office of the National Office of Intellectual Property (No. 386 Nguyen Trai Street, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi).

The NOIP will return the Filed Application, payment receipts, and related documents, etc. to the Applicant by registered postage address.

2. The NOIP also suspends the face-to-face consultancy activities at the headquarters (No. 386 Nguyen Trai Street, Thanh Xuan District, Hanoi). Accordingly, consulting activities in general and procedures for submitting applications for industrial property, in particular, are carried out only by phone or email. The specific information is as follows:

3. All activities at the Representative Office of the Vietnam IPO in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang are still going on normally.

This notification is applied until another contrary one is issued.
